OVER 700 supporters turned up to witness the Renault Solihull Barons give a convincing performance against their top of the table rivals Flintshire Freeze.
Prior to the match the sides were level on points at the top of ENL North Two, so a close encounter was predicted.
However from the first face off the Barons showed they were well up for this game and they were determined to win, only good net minding preventing them from scoring.
It was the third minute that they broke through the Welsh side’s defence and went further ahead on four minutes.
Flintshire pulled a goal back but in no time the Barons scored another four unanswered goals to lead 6-1 at the end of the first period.
Again the Barons dominated the second period scoring another three goals with out reply to lead 9-1, the final period became untidy and both teams taking silly penalties.
Barons scored another four goals and Flintshire managed two. The final score finished 13-3 to the Barons.
The large crowd went home happy after an exciting match. The Barons next home match is the November 26 versus Kingston Jets.
