STRUGGLING Moseley need a spark to lift their season their captain admitted, after losing to West Bromwich Dartmouth last weekend.
Aatif Ali (3 for 21) and Imran Khan (2 for 19) were behind a Moseley collapse to 26 for five, but a sixth wicket stand of 58 between Abdul Hafeez (32) and Jason Robinson (32) began a recovery that didn’t last, after they were both dismissed in the space of three balls.
Jeet Raval took 2 for 6 as Moseley crumpled to 106 all out and an unbeaten 47 from the Kiwi and 50 not out from Rawlston Tappin, who put together an unbeaten stand of 97 for the second wicket, secured an easy nine wicket success for Dartmouth.
Moseley captain Abdul Hafeez said: “We had a tough day Saturday to be honest.
“They bowled quite well. We went out with 106 which is never enough really.
“We were beaten quite comprehensively.”
Moseley now sit third from bottom in the Birmingham Premier League.
Tomorrow (Saturday) they host second from bottom Wolverhampton.
Hafeez added: “We are confident at home. We’re optimistic most weeks really.
“We seem to go from one extreme to another at the moment, doing very well or very poor.
“We need to find some consistency. That’s what the guys are working hard on. Hopefully we can get a couple of wins on the bounce and build confidence.
“We’re looking for that spark that can lift our season. Hopefully it will come.
“The team remains the same.”
