Dorridge’s defeat to Brockhampton saw the Herefordshire side move into the promotion chasing places, and left question marks over Dorridge’s own campaign.

The two sides began the day on the same footing, but this defeat by four wickets left Dorridge reeling at an opportunity missed.

They now sit in sixth position in the Birmingham & District first division.

After a promising opening half of the season the side will look to rally themselves as tomorrow, Saturday, they take on Walmley’s recent conquerors Old Hill, who currently sit in second place. A win would be most welcome, and put them back on course.
