BLOSSOMFIELD, still on a high after their win over Edgbaston last week, faced an in-form Cannock side and, despite some strong defending the visitors’ early pressure led to a well worked goal.

Bloss came out fighting in the second half and, through some excellent attacking play from Becky James, won a short corner that was clinically converted by Man of the Match Julie Spence.

However despite the game being an even battle, luck was on Cannock’s side and they converted two more goals in the final 20 minutes of the game.

On Saturday Bloss take on against Bournville.

BLOSS got off to a quick start scoring in the first five minutes through Martyn Bevins.

They continued to dominate, the pressure paying off with Josh Peasley scoring a sublime individual goal.

With a couple a of minutes left of the opening half Kidderminster broke with a three on two forcing a good save from the home goalkeeper to keep it 2-0 going into the break.

Bloss made a sluggish start to the second period, shipping two goals from short corners inside the first 10 minutes of the half.

However a goal from Tom Arnanmani restored their lead and the home defence stood firm to earn all three points. Next week Blossomfield travel to Kingswinford.
