HIGHFLYING Berkswell CC are limbering up for the new season without the services of two top wicket takers.

Babar Khan is off to ply his trade in the Lancashire League while Ed Rainsford will be staying in Zimbabwe.

However, all is not lost as the club have secured the services of another spinner - although they’re keeping tight-lipped over his identity at the moment.

The club has also signed up an overseas amateur professional fast bowler who again comes highly recommended and is again new to the League.

Skipper Dominic Ostler is currently in contact with Warwickshire CCC in the hunt for a replacement for injured county allocated player Chris Metters.

Meanwhile to strengthen the batting lineup Tom Lewis has joined from Leamington.
