Club Championships go swimmingly for members

BLYTHE Barracudas celebrated their most successful year to date by holding their Club Championships, at Tudor Grange Sports Centre in October.

BLYTHE Barracudas celebrated their most successful year to date by holding their Club Championships, at Tudor Grange Sports Centre in October.

There were 60 entrants in total with swimmers ranging from the teaching groups, represented by Joshua Pearce who had two first place finishes in the 25m freestyle and backstroke, Freddie Truman in his 25m breaststroke and Hattie Pearce for her 25m Backstroke. The high achievers on the night were Emily Graham, 11, Rachel Davis, 12, Matt Austin, 14, and James Lewis, 15, who all managed to secure five first places in their respective events. There were also four wins each for Lily Graham, 8, Sian Wyn-Jones and James Lee, both 12.
