Solihull CC’s 10mile time trial championship has been won by Conor O’Brien in a time of 21:50. Jeremy Stone finished second in 22:49 with Richard Preece third in 23:45. Janet Marsden took the ladies title with 25:41.
Meanwhile in the Midlands 10 mile championships near Alcester, Eddy Priddy clocked 22:09 to take gold in the 50-54 competition with Steve Mountford finishing in 23:33 for Silver in the same category. The event was won by Scott Westwood of Walsall RC in 20:22.
Elsewhere, in the Ramin Minovi Memorial road race at Stourport, David Rutherford finished fourth in the Over 55s.
At the other end of the age scale, Under 16 Ethan Lee triumphed in a road race at Darley Moor after earlier coming third at Castle Coombe.
Not to be outdone, the Solihull girls team of Natalie Clements, Lucy Shaw, Sophie Faulkener and Dannielle Khan worked well together to put sprinter Shaw in the perfect position to get on the podium at the Tywyn Criterium Races in Wales.
Earlier in the month, the youngsters had all competed in the National Youth Championships at Bradford gaining valuable experience over a tough and demanding course and against the pick of British up and coming talent.
