WILY wicketkeeper Jason Robinson called on all his experience when guiding Moseley to a much-needed two wicket win over Wolverhampton in the Birmingham League Premier Division.
The ageless gloveman produced a priceless 36 not out as Moseley chased down Wolves’ earlier total of 175.
Moseley skipper Huw Jones confirmed: “Robbo was under a bit of pressure with his batting, but he played really well and took his time with a well paced innings which won us the game.”
Fast bowler Freddie Eburah had earlier picked up six wickets, but Jones admitted: “We were expensive early on, but then had them at 90 for six. They shouldn’t have got anywhere near 175.”
In reply, Moseley made their customary bad start and instantly slumped to 20 for four before Abdullah Awan with 25 and Abid Din who added 38 began to turn matters around.
They helped take Moseley to a winning 178 for eight with plenty of overs to spare.
Moseley head to Barnt Green this Saturday.
