Rugeley 1 - 2 Yardley

YARDLEY found it hard to pass the ball about on a bumpy pitch in the rain and under poor floodlights in the first half, and conceded a goal midway through.

Yardley came out for the second half in a more determined mood. Luke Menzil drove down the right wing and crossed the ball into the D, it took a deflection into the path of Andy Elves who made no mistake to level the scores.

Honours remained even for the next period of play, but then another right wing attack this time led by Scott Olliver led to the cross again falling to Andy Elves to score his second and put his team in front.

Solihull Blossomfield 3 - 2 Boots

SOLIHULL Blossomfield had a morale-boosting win over their East Midlands opposition on Saturday. As Bloss dominated play from the beginning, it was no surprise when they found themselves in the lead when Chris Lewis put the ball into an empty net.

The second half saw the home side lose confidence and the visitors capitalise, first equalising after some sloppy defending and moments later, taking an unlikely lead after a well taken reverse stick shot.

The home side got the goal to bring the game level again, Chris Davis getting a well-taken reverse stick shot passed the helpless keeper. Davis fired over a superb pass for Jacques Priestner to pop in at the far post to give the home side three points.
