Hopes of final place

SOLIHULL Swimming Club finished third in the second round of the Diddy League in Halesowen last weekend - giving them a chance of qualifying for the final.

SOLIHULL Swimming Club finished third in the second round of the Diddy League in Halesowen last weekend - giving them a chance of qualifying for the final.

They tallied up a grand total of 175 points, with the 11-year-old girls coming first in the medley relay and freestyle relay.

Abbie Diskin won the 10-year-old girls breaststroke, Shabnam Golestani the girls 11 & under fly, Connor McGoldrick the 11 & under boys breaststroke and Sophie Stables the girls 9-years one-length backstroke.

The B team also competed at Worcester achieving 4th Place.

Elsewhere several Solihull members swam at Coventry in the Midland Youth Championships, where Emily Graham won the 10-year-old top girl prize for first place in the 400 IM, 100 Fly, 200 Free, 200 Fly & 100 Breaststroke.

Dan Moore also won the silver medal for the 10-year-old boys 50 Fly & 100 Backstroke.
