After the promise shown in last week’s first win, Yardley performed a real Hallowe’en horror show last weekend.

After the promise shown in last week’s first win, Yardley performed a real Hallowe’en horror show last weekend.

Barlaston were the first to settle into the game, and force a series of early attacks. Their persistence paid off when they took the lead from a short corner. Yardley tried to get back in the game, but the visitors added to their lead from another short corner. Yardley did rally briefly and managed to pull a goal back when Andy Pyke finished off a short corner after good work by Munib Altaf. Barlaston then took a strong grip of the game with two more goals before half-time.

After the break Barlaston added two more goals early in the half. Yardley briefly gave themselves a faint glimmer of hope when Ismail Mutlib fired home a fine shot from a free hit, initially taken from just outside the D.

Barlaston continued to put the Yardley defence under pressure and added three more goals.
