Last Saturday - K&D welcomed Shrewsbury to Station Road for a rain affected afternoon of Premier League cricket.
K&D won the toss and put Shrewsbury in on a good but seaming wicket.
Knowle and Dorridge made solid inroads early on with Will Mottram, Warwickshire’s Stef Piolet and Neil Coley bowling with control and aggression.
The excellent Jack Grundy (4-44 ) then reduced the opposition to 94 for 6 when the heaviest rain shower came.
After much work on the outfield and with the resumption just within time constraints - the again impressive Chris Davidson (3-11) bowled with guile and experience to allow the remaining four wickets to be taken within just 18 minutes leaving Shrewsbury all out for 136 well within the re-scheduled 45 overs.
The rain resultant revised total for K&D was 106 needed from 32 overs and a positive start from Derbyshire’s Richard Johnson and South Africa U 19 player Dominic Hendricks (39 not out) allowed Sam Reddish (39) and Stef Piolet to finish the game off in style with a flurry of boundaries winning the game by eight wickets.
On Saturday as league leaders travel to newcomers Brockhampton.
