TWO blackbelt members of Knowle and Dorridge Taekwondo recently entered the Puma World Championships and the Scottish Open Championships.
Ashley Corke, won bronze at the World Championships then took gold and silver at the Scottish open championships while Amy Ridgard won two bronze medals at the World Championships.
Delighted coach Gary Preece, who runs Knowle Taekwondo, said: “It’s such an achievement to take part in any tournament, as sometimes nerves get the better of you, but to take part in a World Championship and win a medal is something that my students will always remember.”
Knowle and Dorridge Taekwondo run classes for children, adults and families at Arden School Knowle on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Saturday mornings at Saint Martin’s School in Solihull.
