THREE Solihull secondary school pupils have gained karate black belts, as instructor Steve Eustace continues to produce young talent.

Elizabeth Green, from Lode Heath School, and Lewis Bullivant from Arden School, both aged 12, received their belts last week after seven years of hard work.

But the biggest success story to come out of the club, who train at St Margaret’s School, is 13-year-old Abigail Byrne, who earned the qualification in under three years.

The St Peter’s School pupil trains up to four times a week – proving that dedication and commitment pays off. All three passed their high rank grading at the annual Astral Karate Summer course, held in Weston-Super-Mare.
