RICHARD Johnson of Kingsbury Aquarius Swimming Club won silver and bronze medals at the recent British Disability Swimming Championships.
Richard competed in three events, winning silver in the 50 meters backstroke and bronze in the 25 metre freestyle, completing both in personal best times.
He also achieved a personal best in the 50 metres freestyle, just missing out on a third medal.
Richard has been training with Kingsbury Aquarius for the last 12 months and coach Stuart Rainsford said: “We are very proud of Richard and his achievements and it is a great tribute to him that he is still recording many personal best times at the age of 20.”
Richard is currently training hard for the British Downs Syndrome Swimming Association Championships in July where he is hoping to improve on his silver medals from last year.
The club is actively looking for new swimmers to join the club where we can provide a high standard of training for all age groups and can provide swimming lessons and stroke improvement lessons.
