MOSELEY’S defeat at Shrewsbury drops them into the bottom two in the Birmingham Premier League, trailing Wolverhampton by 11 points.

Huw Jones top scored with 55 in Moseley’s 215 for eight but Ryan Bishop (76) and Rob Foster (56) ensured that Shrewsbury emerged as winners.

Moseley skipper Abdul Hafeez said: “It was quite a close game. It went down to the last over and the penultimate ball.”

Saturday Moseley travel to Kidderminster.

Hafeez added: “Kidderminster are just a couple of places above us. Obviously with six games to go, and we in the relegation zone ourselves, we need to pull some results out of the bag.

“We need to beat the teams just above us and we’ve got all three in the next few weeks.”
