Moseley 199 Dorridge 147
MOSELEY have moved up to second in the Birmingham First Division after a frustrating winning draw against skipper Abdul Hafeez’s old side Dorridge.
Hafeez turned on the style with the bat to post 51 as Moseley compiled a total of 199 for six off 44 wickets.
However on a day dogged by the rain which wrecked the rest of the cricket programme, Dorridge stuck it out ending with 147 for nine off 32 overs, resulting in 14 points for Moseley and five for themselves.
“When we look back on Saturday we were pleased with the performance overall but it was frustrating when you get so close.
“We had a really good end to our innings and that’s pleasing and we bowled well too with Fred Eburah taking four wickets.”
As the season hits the halfway stage, Moseley play Bromsgrove away on Saturday. Hafeez is taking a break due to work commitments with Tom Watts stepping up as skipper.
Dorridge meanwhile take on Kenilworth Wardens at home.
In the premier division, title chasing Berkswell take on fellow Solihull side Knowle & Dorridge at Station Road.
