FOUR first-half goals set up an important win for Olton to move them four points clear of the drop zone with just three games remaining.
The home side signalled their intentions straight away placing pressure down their right wing but the now formidable Olton back four dealt with the threat effectively.
From that point on, Olton were in control of the game and started pressurising Saints with the same high transfer that tore Chesterfield apart a week ago.
After just two minutes Tom Mallet set up Tom Pickersgill for the opener, but within minutes the Saints were level. Olton re-gained the lead five minutes later when Steve Twist scored his first goal of the season and further strikes from captain Mark Wilson and Pickersgill wrapped up the win. Tomorrow Olton entertain Mansfield (1.30pm).
