A TALENTED table tennis team from Archbishop Grimshaw School have won the prestigious SSP Trophy for the second successive year.
The award is commonly regarded by table tennis players as the most valued secondary school prize in the borough.
Both staff and pupils contributed to the success which was based on a final ranking from nine league night results.
The team beat off determined challenges from Park Hall, CTC, Grace Academy and Smith’s Wood Sports College to claim victory.
Event organiser, Chris Shaughnessy, praised the standard of play and said the success was down to countless hours of practice.
