DREAMLAND narrowly won the closely-fought social Twenty/20 cricket tournament last week as Rashid Mohammed guided his side to victory.

An unbeaten 36 from the consistent batsman was enough to help his side record a narrow tworun victory over Oak 'n' Ash.

A number of Solihull and Birmingham business and pub teams entered the tournament, but it was Dreamland who took the top honours in the final at Lugtrout Lane.

Batting first they hit 126-9 before restricting Oak 'n'Ash to 124-8 with an impressive bowling display.

The winners of the showdown received a winning plaque and an individual trophy.

Organiser Umar Sharif is currently looking for companies, sports or social clubs who may wish to share in the enjoyment of the Twenty/20.
