First up in the ladies’ event, Becky Keogh’s first half of the race was her season’s best, but she fell back later on.

Alex Mitchell performed well, improving on his performance from the week before. He finished a fine 12th place overall.

In the U16 race, both Danny Fox and Jack Ravenscroft (pictured) took on the fastest youth race of them all.

On a fast and firm course that dried out throughout the day, Fox showed he was getting back to form after illness had ruined his championships the week before, and finished a great 12th.

But it was Ravenscroft’s day as he laid down a clear marker to his opponents for next year’s cyclocross season as he roared round the course, producing his finest performance of the last 12 months, and finished in 5th place.

With one year still to go in the category, both Fox and Ravenscroft have everything to look forward to next Autumn.
