A LARGE crowd of 875 witnessed another workmanlike performance by the Solihull Barons who dominated the game from start to finish.

Alex Jones scored the Barons’ first goal after seven minutes and grabbed his second just two minutes later. Within another two minutes, Erik Bakalar increased the lead further.

Sutton managed to pull a goal back in the 13th minute, but Phil Lee completed the Barons scoring in the first period with a well taken slap shot.

After a slow start in the second period - and conceding another goal in the process - the Barons went up a gear, scoring at regular intervals through Andy Ayers, Phil Lee, Rich Slater and Lui Brindle.

Jones completed his hat-trick and Bakalar scored a second as the third and final period got under way. Ed Slater finished off the scoring to give the Barons a comfortable 11-2 victory.
