BARONS slumped to their eighth straight defeat after suffering derby day heartache against Coventry ENL Blaze at Hobs Moat Road, writes Matt Johnson.

The Barons went into the game full of confidence, backed by a 550+ strong crowd and took a fifth minute lead when Neil Adams stabbed home to nab his first goal since re-signing after a two year lay-off.

But just a minute later, Coventry restored parity.

They then went ahead and although Solihull had chances galore to level Blaze then struck a sucker punch on the counter in the 39th minute to make it 3-1.

A three-week break now follows before a double header with Telford Titans and Whitley Warriors concludes the season.

Telford Titans V Barons, Sat Mar 24 5:30pm face-off.

Barons v Whitley Warriors, Sun Mar 25, 6pm.
