SOLIHULL School's Under-13 tennis players are aiming to become the best in Britain after they were crowned Midland champions.
The boys' team netted the regional title in the Team Tennis National School Championships to book a place in the UK finals at the Bolton Arena from December 6-7.
They will join Leeds Grammar School, Exmouth Community College and current champions Reed's School as one of only four schools to qualify from thousands of contenders across the UK.
Solihull School's Under 13s beat Newcastle-under-Lyme 6-0 in the semi-finals and Kibworth 4-1 in the final of the Midlands event held at Warwick University, after beginning their championship-winning trail last April as Solihull Borough champions.
John McGowan, Solihull School tennis coach, said: "This is a remarkable achievement given that unlike elite tennis schools and academies, Solihull School does not offer scholarships to attract tennis players or any other sports stars."
