LODE Heath student Leah Branley, aged 13, has achieved her kickboxing black belt at the first time of asking.

National champion Leah has been training with chief instructor Dean “crazylegs” Williams for the past four years five times a week.

“For me it makes it all worthwhile helping fulfil people’s potential,” said Dean.

“Leah would be the first to admit she is not a natural but due to hard work and determination she has achieved yet another prestigious milestone in her martial arts career.”

The next goal is the upcoming East Midlands title to add to her current West Midlands and national titles and then to push on to get her second degree black belt standard.

If anyone would like to follow in Leah’s footsteps and take up kickboxing to keep fit, call Dean on 07973 947792.
