Solihull skaters star in Scotland

SOLIHULL Ice Rink skaters were triumphant at the ISU Sk8Scotland Adult Championships in Dumfries achieving podium positions in the Ice Dance and Free skating events.

SOLIHULL Ice Rink skaters were triumphant at the ISU Sk8Scotland Adult Championships in Dumfries achieving podium positions in the Ice Dance and Free skating events.

Lucie Schiller and Victor Svekolkin won gold in the Dance category, Gill Hall collected two golds in the Singles Free Skating and Solo Interpretive events and Gemma Follis took bronze in the Singles Free Skating in their respective categories.

Ice Dancing couple Lucie and Victor, who were placed first after the compulsory dances, went on to skate their gold-winning Free Dance performance to ‘Michael Buble’ at the ISU International Skating event.

Gill, Gemma and Hannah Cumming competed in the Singles Free Skating events, achieving 1st, 3rd and 6th respectively. This success comes on the back of a recent podium achievement for the trio as members of Solihull Synchronized Skating School’s Adult Team, ‘Spitfires’.

Solihull Synchronized Skating School meet every Sunday at Solihull Ice Rink and is open to skaters of all ages from five years to adults.
