SOLIHULL swimmer David Fellows turned in a star performance for Blythe Barracudas when he clinched the Tomson Trust Trophy at the Coventry and District Association Championships in Nuneaton.
The 20-year-old won the 200m individual medley and 200m butterfly, finished second in the 100m freestyle, fourth in the 100m butterfly, and fifth in the 50m freestyle before scooping the trophy by claiming the 200m freestyle.
The prestigious race has been contended for nearly 100 years with swimmers only eligible to win the trophy once.
In all, 19 Barracudas qualified for the gala held over two weekends.
For the boys, Tom O’Hanlon, Amile Zormati and Matthew Pagan all claimed medals.
For the girls it was Beth Gowing, Freya Lindsay and Laurie Bennett who got in the medals.
