DORRIDGE followed up a disastrous nine wicket defeat to Wombourne by recording their first victory of the season thanks to a slender one wicket win over Attock.
Last pair of Andy Wing and Andy Stevenson shared a nerve-wracking partnership of 12 to steer Dorridge home after being set a modest total of 148 to chase. Kasir Shah and David Ball both bagged three wickets, while skipper Abdul Hafeez picked up the prize wicket of dangerman Sultan Mehmood who made 48.
Hafeez finished with figures of four for 36 as he helped mop up the tail with eight overs to spare.
That didn’t prevent Dorridge from making a dismal start in reply.
However tailenders, but Wing and Stevenson didn’t waiver as they reached a winning 149 for nine.
