Mat Jackson of Solihull won the third race at Snetterton last Sunday after finishing in sixth in both the first and second rounds in his Airwaves Motorbase Ford Focus ST.
For the third round Jackson started second on the grid behind Seat Leon driver Dave Newsham.
However Jackson quickly passed the Seat and pulled out a three- second lead on Paul O’Neill in his Chevrolet Cruze after Newsham dropped to third.
Jackson now tops the drivers’ leader board by eight points and is also leading the Independents by 19 points ahead of James Nash.
The BTCC travels to Knockhill in Scotland where Scot Gordon Sheddon will be looking to close the gap on Jackson.
