Top display puts Oliver in top spot

TALENTED teenager Oliver Jones won the Terry Davies Memorial at Hatchford Brook Golf Club after carding an impressive nett 62.

TALENTED teenager Oliver Jones won the Terry Davies Memorial at Hatchford Brook Golf Club after carding an impressive nett 62.

The 14-year-old, who was playing off a handicap of 16, shot a gross 78 to also win Division Two by three shots ahead of Robin Davies.

In Division One, 12-handicapper Peter Baker recorded a nett 66 to finish top of the pile and young Liam Phipps won Division Three with the same score.

Elsewhere, Hatchford Brook crashed out of the Clapham competition as they were comfortably beaten by a strong Warley Woods side.
