SOLIHULL Swimming Club won the Senior Trophy Gala for the first time in seven years last week, signalling the huge strides they are making under new coach Sarah Brown.
The senior team were clear winners, finishing 38 points ahead of Perry Beeches in second and demolishing fellow contendors Orion and Burntwood.
Solihull secured 23 first places on the night, as well as an incredible 124 personal best swims.
All of the girls’ relay teams came first together with individual wins for Evie Topping, Emily Graham, Lucy Glover, Kate Goodwin, Jessica Climer, Madeline Smith and Jo McGurk.
In the boys’ teams, Andy McGurk, Robert Comer and Matthias Madden all secured first place in their events.
Jamie Topping and Niamh Taylor both put in impressive performances, swimming way above their age groups and achieving personal bests.
Next up for the talented side is the Birmingham Open at Stechford Baths over Easter.
