YARDLEY will be glad to reach the end of the season after their miserable campaign continued with a 5-1 defeat against West Midlands Two champions Streetley.
The Barrows Lane club finished bottom of the league with just one point from 18 games after suffering a three-point deduction earlier in the season.
At half-time the scores were all-square largely due to the heroics of home keeper Neal Makepeace.
However, after the break Streetley finally got going and they rattled up a 3-0 lead in no time.
Two further goals killed off Yardley who grabbed a brilliant consolation through Andy Elves.
