Due to summer holidays and injuries, Centurion Running Club took only 16 members to this year’s final run of the Rowheath 5k road race series last Thursday.

After a very competitive first lap John Ndayesenga of Birchfield Harriers pulled away in the later stages for a comfortable win in 15min 19sec.

Centurion’s depleted squad were unable to challenge the winner but Paul Davies lead the team home in 17min 51sec.

More encouraging were the performances of Centurion’s leading juniors Jake Sorrell, who continued to impress by finishing second Centurion in his best ever time of 18min 09sec, followed by Joshua Fullard in 18min 38sec.
