ON the eve of the RBS Six Nations Championship, Bees players Cameron Mitchell, Luke Ward and Dale Garner were at Birmingham’s Bullring to help England and Leicester Tiger star Lewis Moody launch the RBS Six Nations Rugby Challenge.

Bringing a virtual rugby experience to fans across the country the Challenge, in addition to visiting Birmingham, will also be showing in Cardiff, Manchester and Glasgow, finishing in Edinburgh’s on March 14.

The Bees took advantage of the virtual kicking technology to get in some practice before their fixture with Cinderford this Sunday.

Scrum-half Luke Ward, who is hoping to figure in the starting line-up this weekend, said it was an enjoyable event.

“It was great to be involved with the Royal Bank of Scotland’s Rugby Challenge and to meet Lewis Moody,” he said.

“He was a very down-to-earth guy and despite a broken ankle still a pretty good kicker!”
