CAMP Hill’s Chargers and supporters were out in full force last week in support of Solihull’s Race for Life.
A great event for a great cause was extremely well attended by the girls and women of Solihull, and beyond, achieving massive success in raising both funds and awareness for Cancer Research UK.
Despite the mantra of “it’s taking part that counts” a number of the rugby playing girls set themselves competitive challenges in getting round the 2.5km course.
Flanker Lucy Pollard came home in a good sub-19 minute time with Nena Killick and Jo Kilby dropping into second and third respectively for the enviable Chargers gold, silver, and bronze placings. All Camps runners came home safely, raising over £300 for the charity.
