TWO local lads have been picked to represent the Midlands in a rugby competition - with a chance of being picked for England as a result.

Lewis Grinsell and William Hartley, who both represent Solihull School and North Midlands, will take part in the Divisional Festival from today until Monday.

They will be part of the Midlands Under-16 22-man squad, who will battle it out against London & SE and South West in their opening fixtures.

All matches will be attended by England Under 16 lead coach Phil Stanlake and England Under 16 A lead coach Steve Shortland.

They will be aiming to find the best players for England Under-16s, who are taking part in the annual Four Nations Tournament with Wales, France and Italy during April.
