Kidderminster Carolians 55 Edwardians 19
WITH Kidder Carols sitting second in the league above, everyone knew this North Midlands Shield match was going to be difficult and so it proved.
The home side’s dominant scrum was producing quick ball and they quickly ran in three unconverted tries.
With the set pieces not going to plan for the visitors, it was difficult for Edwardian to gather any sort of momentum, however Centre Morgan Hope found the try line, Fly Half David Gray converting to give the visitors a glimmer of hope.
Kiddie quickly replied though before Eds Centre Benn Chadwick broke his leg, completely disrupting the visitors who found themselves 29–7 down at half time.
Although Eds fought on bravely Kiddie underlined their superiority with more scores.
On Saturday Eds face Bloxwich at home in the league while the news on Chadwick is positive, X-rays showing a clean break and hopefully a quick healing process.
