EDS showed a welcome return to form to dismantle Handsworth.
Eds were keen to avenge a frustrating 35-25 reverse in the first league fixture between the sides. Scoring started when the home side’s Rob Stevens went over in the corner. Gray landed the difficult conversion to make the score 7-0.
Handsworth struck back when the full back went over for a score which was converted by the stand off.
The home side then forced a penalty, converted by Gray and Eds took the lead 10-7.
Then a Dan Johnson break was converted via a neat assist from hooker James McQuoid to a supporting Dave Gray who went over near the posts and converted his own score to make it 17-7. After more pressure Gray scored another, however the tricky conversion was missed to take the scores to 22-7.
Luke Mason got in on the act to make it 27-7 at half time. With 20 minutes left winger James Owen completed the scoring.
