BIRMINGHAM Exiles travelled to bottom-of-the-table Highley on the back of four consecutive league wins – and duly posted a fifth.

BIRMINGHAM Exiles travelled to bottom-of-the-table Highley on the back of four consecutive league wins – and duly posted a fifth.

Highley conceded two penalties in the opening minutes, the second wide on the right and full-back Scott Forester opened the visitors’ account with a well-flighted goal.

Forester added a second penalty before scrum-half Andy Root set up Matt Austin who crashed over the line and then hobbled off injured late in the first half.

Tom Patrick added a second half try which Forester improved to keep Exiles firmly in the hunt for the title – and just a point behind leaders Claverdon.

And on Saturday Exiles visit the table-toppers in a mouthwatering showdown.
