CAROLINE Spelman, MP for Meriden and rugby enthusiast, dropped in on Grace Academy this week to watch students learn new skills from top coaches provided by the Rugby Football Union.
The tag rugby training session, at the Chelmsley Wood school, is aimed at developing the sport at a local level.
Mrs Spelman said: “It is hugely exciting to see rugby re-introduced to an area where it is not the main sport. Rugby is a fantastic team game that involves all shapes and sizes. I am particularly thrilled to see teenage girls playing at Grace Academy today.”
