RUGBY-based OLs came looking to cement second position in Midlands West 2 (South) with a promotion playoff being the prize and revenge their earlier season defeat. Sils had other ideas, knowing a win would be enough to overtake them in the league.

On a four game win streak, Sils opened the scoring with a Steve Hawkins penalty but then conceded a converted try.

OLs hit back and with 15 minutes left the score stood at 18-14. OLs then blew no end of chances as Sils gave away penalty after penalty but the home side held out to the delight of the crowd.

This weekend Sils look to make it six in a row when they welcome Pershore to Copt Heath for a 3pm kick off.
