THE 2009 NHS Regional Touch Rugby League tournament has been scheduled for kick off at Sharmans Cross Road later this month.
With the tournament going from strength to strength since its 2008 inaugural year, 24 teams and over 300 men, women, girls and boys will enjoy four rounds and a finals day at the home of Birmingham & Solihull Bees.
The event, which starts on April 29, will see teams divided into two playing groups - hospital and community.
Teams representing Paediatrics, Oncology and Elderly Care will battle it out in an attempt to overhaul last years winners, Pathology’s “Lab Hookers”.
Elsewhere the community competition has two sub-divisions to accommodate: Aston Old Edwardians will defend their Elite title whilst Birmingham & Solihull side “The OABees” (M&J coaches/staff/former players) will be looking for an upset in the Social category.
