A SOLIHULL family are wondering whether they hold the record for the largest number of brothers all playing in the same rugby team.

A SOLIHULL family are wondering whether they hold the record for the largest number of brothers all playing in the same rugby team.

For the Robyns-Landricombe family, who live in Olton, have five boys who all play for Silhillians Mini and Junior Rugby Club.

The youngest, seven-year-old Matthew, joined recently and now spends Sunday mornings playing for the club, along with his brothers Reuben, 16, Sebastian, 15, Benedict, 14 and Nicholas, 10.

“We are all passionate about rugby in this family,” said the boys’ father Ralph.

“I walk from pitch to pitch trying to make sure I don’t miss any of the action!”

Reuben, Sebastian and Benedict play back row and Nicholas plays inside centre. Reuben also plays for Solihull School and Benedict captains St Peters rugby team under-14s.

Jonathan Trace, Chairman of Silhillians RUFC said: “We are delighted to have all five brothers at the club. They are all very talented players and we hope that Matthew turns out to be as skilful as his elder brothers.”
