OLD Salts rugby players, coaches, management and supporters had the opportunity to celebrate their most successful season in recent history.

OLD Salts rugby players, coaches, management and supporters had the opportunity to celebrate their most successful season in recent history.

The club held an awards evening this week in which ex-Scotland international Colin Fisher gave an after dinner speech.

During the evening, awards were presented to numerous players for their efforts on the pitch. The player of the year accolade went to Nathan Merritt, while the coaches’ player award went to James Mason. Elsewhere Mitchell Lee was clubman of the year, James Mason got top scorer and Tom Lee ran in the most tries - a club record of 37.
