ONE of the foundation stones throughout the Bees’ championship winning season has been South African lock forward Shaun Pammenter, who confessed to being overwhelmed by the occasion: “It’s just an awesome feeling to win the title and promotion too.

“Redruth competed very well and it wasn’t until three minutes before full time when someone asked the referee how long there was to go that we realised we’d done it.

“It’s been such a long season and full marks must go to Chris Kemp’s conditioning team for keeping us in shape for the duration,” added Pammenter who has already signed to stay at Birmingham Solihull next season.

“Redruth had some very big guys which made them very competitive at the scrum and they’d been top of the table for so long - credit to them they are a great side.”
