IMPROVING Solihull saw off league leaders Hereford on Saturday and are hoping to follow up the success with a win at Stoke-on-Trent tomorrow.
Aaron Higgins was influential in the win as he notched 15 of his sides' total points.
After a number of close defeats in previous weeks where last gasp tries were conceded this time Solihull were able to confidently close out the match to grab the victory.
In the first half Higgins and the Hereford fly-half each traded two penalties as the scores were level at the break.
With the wind at their backs and playing towards the clubhouse in the second half Solihull came out in determined mood and were able to pin Hereford back in their own half for long periods.
Dave Edwards made a lightening break and fed Higgins who touched down and converted himself.
Centre Charlie Maunder then added a second try from a yard out which was again converted by Higgins.
