EXILES were once again on the wrong end of a league double as visitors Claverdon came from behind to take the points in a lively encounter at Bickenhill.

Exiles opened the scoring when full back Vasey found space ato put winger Dan Pinfield over in the corner.

Claverdon hit back with a converted try before an interception by centre James Shackleton who ran some 70 metres to go between the posts for a try converted by scrum half Andy “Scooter” Root. However the visitors hit back to make it all square after the first 40.

With the slope and the wind against them, Exiles had plenty of defending to do in the second period, Claverdon nudging ahead with a penalty before sealing it when a strike against the head let the visitors in.

This Saturday Exiles visit Manor Park in Nuneaton, kick off 3pm.
