SHIRLEY-based Old Yardleians’ bid for Twickenham glory came to an agonising end last week when they lost 15-14 to Yorkshire outfit and current junior national champions Baildon in the semi finals.

SHIRLEY-based Old Yardleians’ bid for Twickenham glory came to an agonising end last week when they lost 15-14 to Yorkshire outfit and current junior national champions Baildon in the semi finals.

Ben Honey scored for the visitors making it 10-8 to the home team at half time.

The second half was equally close with a try for the hosts and two kicks from Ys Jake White. The Yards fought desperately for the winning score but it was not to be.
