AS someone who began working at a shop in Forest Court, Dorridge in 1979 and stayed several years I have followed the current saga with regard to the desirability or otherwise of Sainsburys taking over the area with great, and to some extent detached interest.Read

EX Councillor Eames made an error in his letter to the News last week. Cheswick Green Parish Councillors, who were all elected last June, have reduced the parish precept by 10 per cent and not five per cent as he stated.Read

Park plea

I USED to love the park and go there almost every time I could. But now the park is ruined. The fence has gone, so people can be knocked over by dogs and there is a ‘no dogs’ sign on the floor.Read

We own a property on Station Road in Dorridge and are extremely concerned about the adverse affect that the current development proposal will have on our house and the surrounding area.Read

Moving trees

In the original Sainsbury’s planning application for a most unloved superstore in Dorridge it was intended to fell all 25 trees on the site – including the magnificent oak which forms the gateway to the village - and provide some replacement planting.Read
