The Johnny Cash Roadshow, the UK’s No 1 tribute to American legend Johnny Cash, is performing at The Solihull Arts Complex next Thursday (September 15).
The show is fronted by respected singer and songwriter Clive John, a performer with the voice that has been hailed as paying absolute respect to the ‘Man in Black’ and his many hundreds of songs.
The show touches on all parts of Cash’s musical career, with songs from his ‘Sun Record’ days right up to his work with Rick Rubin and ‘American Recordings’ – Folsom Prison Blues to Hurt.
Throughout the majority of Johnny Cash’s life he was accompanied by June Carter, his wife who was a singer/performer in her own name and The Johnny Cash Roadshow is proud to have Miss Jill Schoonjans appear as June Carter.
Clive and Jill perform many of the duets Johnny and June sang including most famously Jackson and If I were a Carpenter.
Ably backed by The Spirit Band who re-create the sound and feel of The Tennessee Three, Johnny’s original band, the show presents the most fitting celebration of a legend.
Throughout the show, video backdrop provides evocative imagery of The Man in Black making this a visual as well as aural experience not to be missed.
A show suitable for all the family, tickets cost from £14-£16.
